I have a new laptop, it has a camera. I don’t like it one tiny bit. It makes me feel like someone is staring at me. I feel like, you know, all the whole google or government is spying on me bullcrap and I don’t care that you have to turn it on for it to be working I just want to cover it up. So what can I do to cover it up but still be able to use it to facetime when I want to. Would a sticker hurt the lens? I was going to put nail polish on it but I have nieces and nephews and soon to be grandchildren to facetime with so I can’t do that. So sticker? Or what?

THis thread reminded me, I once got an email from someone who claimed they had filmed me through my webcam and they were going to send incriminating videos to everyone I knew if I didn’t pay them.
Considering all I do in front of the computer is vape and pick my nose, I decided to ignore it. I’ve got nothing to hide, and if someone wants to stare at footage of me digging for gold, go ahead

I take a piece of thick paper like part of an envelope, cut it into a small rectangle and tape it on with scotch tape. I can easily peel it back to use the camera if I want to. I do this with my camera lenses too.

I put a piece of paper on a bit of electrical tape and put that side against the lens then taped it down.

I use this blue tape to cover the cameras on my iPad.
I don’t use FaceTime on it so it’s fine.
I think that you can buy these removable stickers for your laptop to cover up the cameras.
Look on Amazon.

You’re not the only one. I use electrical tape over the front camera on my phone. I’m waiting for a cover to come out that fits.
