I kinda hate Xmas and new year because, for reasons unknown, I get so stressed and anxious.
Is not social anxiety because I didn’t meet up with anyone or go to any parties. Is just a real, predictable course of anxiety.

Same here, I hate X-mas and december / january in general.
I live in Denmark, no sun, just darkness, rainy and cold.

Christmas can be a pain but I don’t really have a problem with New Years…You don’t really have to do anything for New Years if you don’t want to.

All I know is that I’m eating like a pig during these holidays.
But my doctor said that I can cheat off my diet only on the holidays.

I am ok, but my elderly dad died of heart problems, one bro had covid and another bro was hospitalized for something else. My bros are doing better now.
I chilled last night on New Years eve and slept 10 hours straight. I was stressed a lot going to the hospital to visit my dad since they had a lot of covid cases, but luckily they were in another part of the hospital. I finally got to hug him after he had been in lockdown in assisted living since March.

Same. Better this year because no in-laws, but my wife is miserable for the same reason. I wish we could arrange it so she could spend several days with them without me.
People seem to be ignoring the CDC’s advice against holiday travel. Lots of sick people in California, no beds left.
I want my vaccine, man.

Got a provincial scandal brewing because government ministers have been traveling all over while telling us Ordinary Joes to STAY PUT. I’m dying to go hiking in the mountains, but I’ve stayed home because that’s the responsible thing to do for those of us who aren’t privileged cabinet members. Can’t recall the last time I had cabin fever this bad.

I’m not a fan of holidays but this year seemed ok. Maybe because of less expectations on me.

We have a similar thing going on with governor Newsom in California. He’s in hot water for being caught at a fancy French dinner restaurant.
