I mean you can still drink full calorie coca cola and juices that are actually making people fat

That sound like extreme.

I’m getting one of these for my mother-in-law, even though she has no weight issues.

I think that impairs quality of life a lot. It can not possible feel good to have that device in the mouth, and what happens if you need to sneeze or cough or something like that…must be painful. Almost sounds like a aprils fool joke.

I think if people want to commit to losing weight it has to be voluntary or else it’s just not going to last.

Can I also sign up for this :joy:

This reminds me of that one episode of Better Off Ted where scientists developed a brain chip that controlled weight and the marketing team said “most people weren’t thrilled about the idea of elective brain surgery, but it still tested better than diet or exercise”

I get the negative response but I honestly don’t see how it is any more extreme than bypass surgery. If people want to force themselves to lose weight without cutting out parts of their intestines I’m fine with that.

I’d do it.

And I know several other people that would too.

It’s a little extreme, but so are the risks being overweight.
