I made more stupid bets in my head with the voice and now I’m worried that the voice will delete my files. The voice says that it’s the devil, so I’m worried it can do it. The voice says “all bets are off anyway.” But he’s a liar. I really think that right after the deadline for quitting passes the voice will delete all my files so I will do bad in my classes. I really wish I didn’t get myself into these messes.

Sounds like it’s just schizophrenia. I went through something similar when I was 13. I made bets with God. Crazy bets. Like if I could walk out of the bathroom in 10 seconds, I wouldn’t be sent to hell. Or if I could walk down the hallway in 5 steps, I wouldn’t be condemned to an eternity of agonizing torment for all eternity. Yeah. I get it. I eventually outgrew it. I have a weird question. The voice that says it’s the devil and will delete all your files… Is it the same voice that says all bets are off?
@SnowTiger Nothing will happen because of your making these bets other than your stressing out about it.
On a practical note, it’s always a good idea to back up your computer files on an external hard drive, for example. Technology can crap out with no warning so it’s always good to back up your data.
Last year, my computer crashed and boy was I glad that I regularly backed up my files.
Yes, it is the same voice. The voice says “okay, all bets are off, and if I brake my word, you win.” But then he will turn around right after that and say “we’ll get you to the full extent of the law!” So I don’t know what to believe.
