Lybalvi and TD meds

Today my pdoc stopped the Latuda and started me on Lybalvi and a tardive dyskinesia med (Ingrezza) because i get wiggly at times and can’t take benztropine anymore. The Lybalvi is just Zyprexa with samidorphan (an opioid antagonist, i think) so i hopefully won’t get hungry on the Zyprexa. I also can’t take any kind of opioid-based meds.

I’m happy with that, i hope it works. She also said that she thinks my insurance will pay for KarXT when it comes out since I’ve been on everything under the sun and now I’m limited to meds that don’t prolong the QT interval. So, hopefully, I’ll be able to try it when it’s released after FDA approval next month.

In other news, i took Shadow and a sample of her poop to the vet today. She got some dewormer and, even tho i said i didn’t want her to sleep with me since she got worms, i really spoil her and she’s welcome to sleep in my bed anytime she wants to!

Aww that’s so sweet

Let me know hw Karxt goes if you end up taking that one good luck with new meds!

I’ll be sure to post if they do prescribe it. I’m kind of scared of trying new meds cuz of the history of QTc prolongation. I looked up the TD meds and those new ones, Ingrezza and Austedo, both can cause it, so I’ll have to discuss those again with my pdoc when i see her next week. But I’m hoping KarXT doesn’t have those cardiac effects and will finally take away the voices.
