Lowered my Risperdal and I’m still so tired!

I lowered my Risperdal dose down to 3mg from 4mg thinking that I wouldn’t be so exhausted all the time but I’m still so tired on 3mg.

Woke up feeling drained and so damn tired!

Now I’m thinking that it may be the Depakote that is having this effect on me or the combination of both Risperdal and Depakote.

I don’t know what to do but I can’t function like this.

I give up.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. My pdr says negative symptoms aren’t caused by meds or sz and that its all in my head. But reality is that I have no control over them. Its hard for ppl to understsnd how we feel if their negative symptoms aren’t as bad as us. Its easy for ppl to blame us for them, it doesn’t take a brain to do that lmao.

I’m thinking now that my fatigue has nothing to do with the psych meds.

Maybe it’s the beta blocker or my obesity or my age?

It’s so frustrating because I don’t know the cause.

Last time I saw my family doctor he didn’t have answers either.

All I know is that I’m so exhausted!

Really can’t function like this.

Personally from my experience with quitting meds for 1-2 years, negative symptoms are from both meds and the sz. My negatives were less without meds, I was more active physically but not as much as before sz.

Now I may have to lower the Depakote dose a bit.
But I’m already on a low dose.

I’m very tired on risperdal at 4mg, but I also think my SSRI affects it in a negative way. Plus, I’m on a pretty high dose of Hydroxyzine, which is an antihistamine, so that may contribute. The only that helps is caffeine, but I’ve stopped caffeine for the most part because I’m switching to a different OCD med.

It helps me but it makes me irritable and nervous.

Yeah, I have to go completely off of it when my positive symptoms are bothersome because it makes me paranoid, anxious, and hallucinate more. But for some reason it doesn’t really affect my OCD like it does for my older brother.

Fuk this.
I may reduce my Risperdal dose down to 2mg.
Maybe 3mg is not enough.

I’m so pissed off.

Isn’t there other meds you can try? Maybe 2mg Risperdal with 40mg Latuda? My negatives were less on Latuda but I wasn’t 100% stable. Maybe you can be stable on it.

My doctor is against me trying anything other than Risperdal.

Other meds are too weak for me or they make me manic.

He changed his mind? A while ago you said he was going to add Latuda with Risperdal.

Everyone reacts differently to meds. Some get negative symptoms while others don’t.

wow that’s unusual, what about your sexuality on it?

There’s a user here on 6mg Risperdal who’s studying medicine and has no negative symptoms. I believe its bcz we have different genetics so we react differently to certain meds.

I may have my psychiatrist prescribe me a blood test and I’ll get my blood taken at the local urgent care.
My family doctor is too busy it seems.

His office didn’t call me back after I contacted them.

I am wondering if taking testosterone will improve energy and sex drive while on Risperdal.

Last time I had my testosterone checked years ago it was low.
