I’m re reading 1984 again now. Still a good book but find bits are a bit dated. Don’t get me wrong I’m a leftist but he missed the whole thing about consumerism that came later. Still a must read on the dangers of totalitarianism and a good read.

I haven’t read it in a couple months. Will continue from where I left off.

Animal Farm is also a great short story.

I don’t know about any one else but I really like young adult fantasy some of my favorites are

Gregor and the Underlanders (5 books)
Harry Potter (7 books it’s a classic)
Cirque Du Freak (12 books)
A Series of Unfortunate Events (13 books)
Vampire Academy (8 books)
House of Night (12 books)

More serious book series

A Hatchet Adventure Series (5 books)
Canyons (1 book)

All of these are amazing books I’ve read a lot

This is one of my all time favorite books.

It’s a sheep detective story, but it’s for adults.

Super clever idea.

I love it.

Is this the one where the kid is in like a two-person plane and it crash-lands into a lake and then he has to survive in the wilderness?

If so, I vaguely remember the rest of the story, but I do remember it being pretty good .

Desperate Remedies by Andrew Scull, and Far from the Tree by Andrew Solomon were both readable.
