Living and being alone vs being with family

I know I’m weird but I asked my sister about a year ago, “On a scale of 1-10 how big a freak am I?” She got surprised but mad, she said, “You’re not a freak”. The way she treats me I honestly thinks she thinks I’m fairly normal. She accepts me and doesn’t talk down to me. She thinks I’m like anyone else.

In contrast, I spend most of my time alone and I go out in public alone and of course I go to work alone and all I can see is the differences between me and everybody else. There’s a lot of them and I spend a lot of time thinking about them. I know I lose perspective of how I am perceived and my true self by being alone but the gap of how I perceive myself and how my sister sees me is vast. I feel like a freak but I would like to see myself as more normal. I know everyone in public is thinking of themselves and not thinking of me but I think everybody sees how I think about myself and plays on it.

It’s making you uneasy that your sister sees you like a better person than you think?

Maybe it means you have a low self esteem and that you need to work on it

Honestly, I think it’s a good thing to have someone that tells you your worth

Myself I was having a me time more often before, going outside alone a lot but now with my anxiety I feel better going outside with someone

I need some alone time often but it’s more when I’m at home recharging

I’m usually alone because I’m not good at making friends and don’t have the energy anyway. I might join a dating site though.
