I wanna try it for bipolar mania.

I had fine motor tremors in my hands, which was successfully treated with propranolol. There was one doctor who refused to give me propranolol, though, which led to me eventually taking myself off of lithium.

I also experienced increased urination, which resulted in increased thirst/dry mouth.

Other than those things it was a good drug for me. It didn’t do a whole lot for my depression, but it effectively blocked the manic stuff.

did you feel flat?

No, not really. The only med that ever made me really flat was Latuda.

Shaking hands and a little nausea half hour after I take them.

Tremors and dry mouth. Oh and IBS-like side effects.

I would suggest you start off with a “safer” mood stabilizer like Lamictal.

Lithium has some pretty awful side effects.
You will have to have your thyroid levels measured and your kidney functioning monitored.

Lithium is basically toxic especially at higher doses.

Which ones did you have @Wave?

Mainly lots of anxiety and some hypomania

I’ma try it w/ lamictal. Does lamictal work for mania?

Also, were you on an ap w/ it?

I take Lamictal for multiple deja vu

How about memory?

My memory was not affected

How has memory been over time?

You were diagnosed in 30s, right?

I was diagnosed at 20 years old.
How is my memory with lamictal over time?

But you were on lithium for a long time with no ap, then lamictal for a bit, right?
