Well I was 23 when I told the intake counselor I wasn’t gonna see 24 though I said I was dead already and laughed about it. I’m 34 now. I’m still here. That’s my success.
My success story is today I got out of bed. It can be very hard to do so.
I haven’t told anyone this yet, but I’ve been off meds for a year. I’m 100% more functional. I still have symptoms here and there but I get through life normally.

The best person to help people with mental health struggles is someone who has been there. Good for you Ninjastar, I’d like to do that too.
In terms of my education, my career, I have lost so much, but I have a wonderful boyfriend, a small but lovely house with a beautiful garden, and I’m finally feeling about 75% more stable than I have in over 20 years, I have learned to take pleasure in the simplicities of life, and not to have regrets. I think that is an achievement.
