There is much stigma attached to narcissism. I wonder if they are hurting like everyone else? Does anyone know?

(clearly I have decided I am not one, so please correct me if I am - I don’t think I would know).

It’s the kind who thinks they are a super intellect ,with a fondness for putting others down.
They are making out it’s easy to get into Oxford, a top UK university, with an IQ of 120.

Ah but it is easy to get into Oxford, if you have a rich daddy and $billion

I do think I have super intellect, but I don’t like putting others down so I think I am not one of these

I thought a narcissist is obsessed with their image…and how beautiful they think they are…but their world is easily shattered when others point out flaws…and a sociopath is more what your describing…they think they are gods gift to man and no amount of evidence can dissolve this belief…

What, you don’t like getting splitting headaches?

I thought sociopath was someone who does not feel guilt in their actions

I wish I was a little narcissistic, I would be so much happier in my life

I would like to have an affair with Zues’s wife.

Actually, narcissists are in the same class as sociopaths/psychopaths, just not as bad. The narcissist that I was friends with I would say only had a moderate case of it, but it was just enough to cause problems for him and those around him. I just couldn’t put up with it anymore!

Part of the diagnostic criteria for narcissism is that they believe they can only be understood by the elite or select few. They also feel they deserve recognition beyond what’s commensurate with their actual achievements in life.

The person I am talking about very much fits in that category.
