Laughing spells

Do you guys have laughing spells?

Recently got off the phone with my ex. A decent conversatuon escalated to blocking each other on messenger again. Lol. So mature of us.
Because of my tendency to laugh in the middle of a conversation or argument.

I just wanna approach negativity and hostility Ina lighter way but he perceives it as disrespectful. When I just wanna take light of it.

Is this a special mental illness no meds can cure or is this normal for people with sz? I mean is it my character which has a twisted sense of humor… Or are laughing spells normal for schizophrenics?

When i have it i can laugh for maybe 2 minutes, then it stop.
Im on risperdal consta and zyprexa.

Do the voices tell you something or it’s just that urge to laugh?

Its normal with sz but the meds influence no laughter symptoms , but hey dont think enjoy your laughter, thinking too much is not worth it. IMO

Why do you have flight fright freeze?
Do you have trauma that torments you too?

Thanks. Overthinking only makes us go deeper in to the rabit hole.

Im not sure, its a type of stress response.
Trauma, yes i think i have some.

Yes they say its defense mechanism.
Like a response to society that I’m OK when inside I’m just shattered
Sorry to hear that and that you go through it too.

Hope you got some answers,
and hope we can be more stable…

Thanks for the response.
Professional help is what I’ll get. But asking schizophrenics about having laughing spells is comforting.
Like it’s the illness, it’s some trauma… I’m not twisted after all.
