Last Night the Christmas Lights went on in Madrid

Last night I went with my cousin to the putting on of the Christmas lights in Madrid. There are about 12 million lightbulbs all over town.

The ceremony was on Puerta del Sol and the Christmas tree is 37 meters tall. There was a show with a choir, singers, and acrobats. It took about 50 minutes.

There was a big crowd and 10Ks of people and I handled it well. It used to be an issue but not anymore.

Never seen a Christmas tree like this before

I prefer it this way. It is a bit sad to chop off a big tree.

Congratulations for handling the huge crowds. That can be stressful.
