I’m confused why the psychiatrist here prescribed it even though I said I don’t want it and she said they can’t force me to take it
To my surprise it was prescribed for taking it along the clozapine for night today first time
i refused to take it because i dont feel like i need it and it wont help me anyway because i dont have depression
Lamictal is for bipolar disorder or schizoaffective disorder bipolar type Idk if it helps regular schizophrenia BUT for me I’d be dead without it I have sza
I think it may help idk everybody’s different it’s a magic pill for me it’s the only thing that helps my depression symptoms without me getting severely manic I’ve said this a lot but prozac made me feel manic as hell and very impulsive
I was having mood swings, but more to the depressive side. The doctor put me on lamotrigine about 3 or 4 months ago and, so far, titrated me up to 75 mg. It does seem to help.
Without my Lamictal I’d be suicidally depressed
It’s a lifesaver for me
It’s basically used for bipolar and SZA
It’s a mood stabilizer for schizoaffective/bipolar. It helped me. It’s one of the few. I’d talk to your doctor.
I don’t really like mood stabilizers. It reduces my motivation and slows me down. It’s one of the better ones for me though. I currently don’t take it. I don’t like them.
I just take an AP and an AD. I’ll let the doctor (NP) decide.
