Lamest job you ever had

Id have to say trash butler. This has got to be one of the most ridiculously lame jobs ever. You load trash bags from apartment units into a bigger trash bag put them on your truck then take them to the dumpster. You get paid 14$ an hour somehow the company gets 10000$+ per apartment complex per month. For a job that would take 5 minutes for each tenant to take trash to dumpster. Needless to say after winter was over and lawn season picked up NEVER did that job again.

Huh we always had to take trash out to the dumpster ourselves. I sometimes let it pile up because I didn’t want to be seen. The lamest job I ever had was cleaning my fathers office part time. It;s the most per hour that I’ve ever made but I only worked like ten hours a week. I was 22 and too shy with the employees or I was partying with a whiskey bottle with me while vaccuuming.

I was involved in a full time job project where basically the job was to remove clips and staples from documents and scan them. I did this for two months.

Hmm im not sure it was lame but it was tough as heck lol.

Worked in a steel drum recycling factory. Had to be in this black vinyl tunnel that burning hot barrels came out of the furnace on conveyor belt. We had to take the lids off and smoke and stuff spewed out of them. Had kevlar gloves but it still burned my hands.

Then we had to stack the barrels 3 high in a semi truck.

It was also 35 celsius in the summer lol.

I was 15 and my bro was 13!

My first real job was a paper boy when I was around 11 or 12 years old I think. My next job was a dishwasher for about 6 months, it sucked.

probably my factory job in high school…wasn’t bad but it was really hard work…had lots of hard working jobs in my life…ditch digger, oil field hand…hating working in car washes too.

I waited tables for a night.

That night happened to be dollar beer night in my college town.

I was a freshman with very large breasts.

After being harrassed by a few tables (totally acceptable behavior at the time), I put my tray down and walked out.

I need to work harder myself. When i got trash butler i was expecting after we loaded each bag into the dumpster we would take the dumpster to the landfill and put in 6 hours a night. But just 3 hours of taking trash to dumpster very easy and pointless.

Lamest job I ever had was cold calling people to put new security systems in their homes. I did that for a whole afternoon. I didn’t generate even one lead. I never went back. Not even to collect my measly paycheck. I was so humiliated.

Pest control job cleaning up years of bird poop from a military complex roof.

Had an armed escort the whole time after background and ID checks. Must of scraped off 100lbs of bird crap. Had to do a full Haz suit.

I was gagging, in my breather, lol. Scraping, shoveling, and disposal, took a day or so.

Shower never felt so good.

I hated collecting shopping carts in -30 to -40C weather snow to my knees. Its the most horrible thing I did at my supermarket job. They later transfered me to meat section working all day in a freezer which I also hated. Then I asked them to transfer me to stocking grocery shelves which I liked. Meat section paid the most though but its dangerous as I could have cut my fingers using the cutting machines.

Pest control is an awesome cover for a spy, no one ever suspects the ant guy spraying, we can go into sensitive areas with some clearance.

It’s considered a sanitation job, every industry has to deal with pests some time or another.

Pest control does offer good money from what ive heard. However if given the choice to clean bird poop on a roof at a military complex with an armed guard watching would you do it again ?

You are absolutely correct about the money. I made a lot for it, much more than I made going house to house as a normal technician.

For that money, I would do it again. Lol

I didn’t like the apprenticeship in the bakery i worked, but i was forced to live with my sick parents and they would have gave me hell when i would have quit. I rather would have studied. The situation was very sz back in that time. No wonder i got hospitalised twice during the apprenticeship.
