In a way food is kind of a smaller dose med that does things to you in a slower manner. Eating the right food can improve how you are and eating the wrong food can make you worse. Our bodies are different and respond differently to certain foods which is why the nutritional advice is all over the place on what is really good for you and what is not. Advice on meds varies for the same reason.

In this private psychiatric hospital in Dallas they really shoved the food at us. The food in the cafeteria was great, and then they put out donuts in the morning, and in the evening they fixed us a table with extensive snacks on it. A lot of people gained weight there. I gained weight, but not like I have now. When they put me on this medication it really increased my appetite, and I got fatter than I have ever been. Those pounds are reluctant to come off now. My right knee has stiffened up, so I can’t really do a lot of walking. Maybe I can do push ups …

do you think a strict diet could really help? idk if it can, people tell me but i don’t believe them, i have been trying but i am a rubbish dieter, funny thing is that i don’t think i eat that much in the first place :slight_frown:

p.s. i should have posted this in the diag other section for more people to join in but i wasn’t thinking.
