One of my best friends is a Nurse Practitioner and worked at a ketamine clinic for a little while.

She says it really, super works for some people.

That it was very interesting work.

I tried ketamine treatments for a little while. Unfortunately it triggered my addiction cravings and i had to stop. It helped my depression while i took it, i didnt take it long enough to see if it helped anything else.

There’s a ketamine service online. I think it is called mindbloom. The treatment costs over $700 and insurance doesn’t cover it. Or didn’t when I checked.

It is dissociative hallucinogen. So skeptical about how it could help with schizophrenia not harm the person.

It isn’t chemically related to this sort of drugs that I would argue seem to lead to psychosis like LSD for example

isnt special K really addictive? Even if it helps id be afraid to try it at the risk of becoming an addict. I guess maybe theyre like benzos or painkillers in that respect… kind of a double edged sword… but that sounds like a out of the frying pan into the fire kind of situation lol.

thats just my uneducated opinion though

Therapeutic use seems to be restricted or very controlled in relation to its addictiveness so I don’t worry too much about becoming a ketamine addict if I’m going to try to use it to treat schizophrenia

In other words they watch you like a hawk so you can’t abuse it

I was on ketamine for about three months in the hospital.

I guess we need to have 5 years with no mania to administer ketamine. I tried to take it but did not qualify. Last time I had mania and unable to work was again 8 months back. I have had many times mania and depressive episodes inbetween. My brain is almost like a dying star and I could compare it to a organ made of clay lol.

Ketamine helped my ex sister in law and nephew with their depression.

I hear that it’s not really used on those of us suffering from a psychotic disorder

My psychiatrist applied on my behalf for ketamine treatment but i was not admitted to treatment because of my schizotypal disorder. Damn, im sure that drug could relieve me

I had it recently as a pain killer for a broken leg. That was more extreme than psychosis for me - though fun. Total out of body experience and reduced to a dot among nothingness.

I asked my doctor about it. He told me to stay away from it as the data isn’t good enough at this time.
