Just sitting here waiting for my beta alanine to be delivered

I ordered from iherb.com but chose the cheap shipping option which apparently means it’ll take weeks.

So I ordered some locally too which should arrive next week.

I’m realizing that it would cheaper if I bought my omega 3 fatty acids from iHerb.

I don’t like the tingling.

Why do I get a tingling feeling?

The tingling feeling (similar to pins and needles) you may experience when having a pre workout supplement is often the effects of beta-alanine at work. This tingling feeling is know as acute paresthesia. The reason for acute paresthesia when taking beta-alanine is unknown, though ideas have been formed. The feeling is most likely caused because of the effect beta-alanine has on your central nervous system. Some of your nerves may be put under mild stress during beta-alanine supplementation resulting in the mild tingling feeling. This feeling has been show to be temporary, even with high doses of beta-alanine. If you take a larger dose, the feeling is more intense. Excessive amounts of beta-alanine will cause the tingling feeling to be very uncomfortable. If acute aresthesia is something that concerns you, consult a doctor before using the supplement.

What dose were you taking?

I took it in a preworkout supplement. It was called the curse. One of my organs hurt really bad as well.

I’m going to be starting with 800mg. Apparently that’s not a lot. But we’ll see.

The stuff I ordered from iherb.com is only 400mg.

It really is a weird feeling. All the preworkout supplements have beta alanine in it nowadays. It must be good I guess.

If it helps mentally then I hope I’d be able to tolerate the tingling until it went away.
