First year doing taxes on SSDI income. Kind of nervous. Cost of tax service cost plus amount owe. When I was working my tax guy charges $350. No way I can afford him now.
Can you do your taxes yourself? Or go to a free clinic. A local college may have students who look to do them as well with professors who help.
This is Canada specific but I’ve been using simpletax,ca
It’s totally free and simple! At the end you can pay whatever you want, or nothing at all. I always pay them something because it is so easy and convenient. With a click of a button they import all your information from government records, you check it over, add or change anything you need too, then file your taxes.
Anything like that is the USA?
If you are only on SSDI, are you sure you made enough to even file?
I’m nervous for that too because same. I only received one payment last year though
