Just curious... am i the only one on this site who doesnt like there psychiatrist at all?

I do not like him not 3ven 1 percent of me… im asking for anreferall from my family dr in october… basically i feel like im taking these pills and they arent doing nothing at all… i havent used weed since janurary 2020 havent drank in 5 months quit smoking 3 months ago. I walk for 2 and a half hours a week i eat smoothies everyday with fruits and veggies in it… like why do i feel like i would without the meds? Like basically taking these meds for nothing… my old dr basically had me cured in 2 weeks of leaving hospital this idiot i have now i got out last time in october 2018 and i feel like i would without the meds

That usually is a sign that the meds are working.

Yeah, the meds are probably making you feel normal and stable and stopping you from getting worse. Take away the meds and you’re back to square one with a relapse and psychosis.

You can ask your doctor to refer you to someone else and still stay on meds that work. I switched pdocs a few months ago cuz i explained to him that i didn’t want to do Zoom appointments anymore and he understood and did a referral. My new pdoc is great and lets me direct which way I’d like to go on meds (as long as she feels it’s safe).

When I had been taken to a mental ward, my first psychiatrist yelled at me at the top of his lungs. My initial thought was why the feck are you yelling at me you ■■■■■■■ Sasquatch. I’ve had caseworker changes and psych doctor changes past twenty two years or so.
