The speaker of the house John Boehner is resigning.
Do any of you have strong opinions about this?
I never cared much for the guy because I’m a strong Democrat. I’m really pissed at the Republicans for their tactic of refusing to fund the budget until congress stops funding Planned Parenthood. I don’t like their position on this issue, but what really makes me mad is their tactic in trying to advance it, refusing to fund the budget until the Democrats cave in on it. It is like they are holding the entire country hostage until they get their way. Their approach to this problem is way out of bounds. That said, I will give John Boehner some credit for holding a difficult position. He has to deal with the Republican conservatives in congress. Those people are not in touch with reality. There is no guarantee the next speaker of the house will be better than Boehner.
I think a lot of people feel this way, not only on the left. The long term consequences of holding the country hostage will be very bad for the republican party as more moderates move to the left.

I’m not going to let this one slide. Murdering an unborn child because it’s considered an inconvenience is the “touch of reality”? How can you justify that? How dare you.
You know what Crimby pardon me, you’re right it is the reality of today, where evil is called good and good is called evil.
