who here considers themselves unstable…meds have not helped me much…frustrated…and jealous of some of you forum users who seem stable
even when im doing relatively well on meds, i still get command hallucinations to humiliate myself out in public places
Try other APs with higher dosage?
The strongest is Clozapine followed by Risperdone.
i was on clozapine 900mg but my white blood cells dropped to a dangerous lvle
is there another name for risperidone
Risperdal, risperdone is the chemical name.
I’m not very mentally stable either. Sometimes I’m surprised I can still do some of the things I’ve been doing with the condition my mind has been in so long.
My condition never truly goes away. It comes and goes as it please like it was an living celestial popping in to make my days and nights a little lonelier. I feel silly after each episode of psycotic trip ive been on, and just can’t comprehend all the crazy ■■■■ i believe in, in that chapter of my life.
I’ve had sza for about 20 years and with me it comes and goes. The first time it came it stayed for three years and faded away, then I was med free for five years. But it came back and now I’m on meds permanently.
On meds I am relatively stable but if I reduce dose sometimes i feel a bit more unstable. I never learn from my mistakes and stay on correct dose - I doubt my sza sometimes and need my pdoc to remind me I have sza and need my meds. If I stay on them I do sometimes still relapse but not as bad and can avoid hospitalisation but mostly I’m stable. Just when I’m stressed the symptoms can pop up again.
Im never stable either, but its better since i have quit drinking, now the hypomanic episodes are gone. I can wake up in a mess, depressed, and then happy at noon, then depressed in the evening or the other way around. Mood-stabilizers made my condition worse.
I’m mostly stable, but still have positive symptoms even at my most stable. I’ve had sz for 15ish years. I’m treatment resistant, but right now perphenazine is helping, albeit not as much as I would hope. But it is helping.
