Is having imaginary friends between ages of 13 to 27 normal? The longest one was van Gogh from 17 to 22 years old. I’d have a picture of him and talk to him alone in my room and shut myself away from others. I don’t know if it was part of my sza, is it do you think? Bizarre behaviour? Writing on my walls? This was in my first period of illness between 18 and 22 years old.
My religiousity became a figure in my imagination, a boy just like me. As an adult he killed me. I’ve got to get honest with myself: do I really believe in that sh!t?
No, but why not.
I had imaginary friends through high school. I had a group of friends.
They hang out with me when I walked to and from school and lunch time.
And technology devices were alive too.
Imaginary friends are not symptoms.
I used to have conversations in my head with some other part of me, which wasn’t a voice. I’d class it as an imaginary friend. It stopped around 17 years old.
