The ceremony is going to be smaller. Essentially just immediate family and grandparents are being invited we’ll be having it at our church. The reception will be bigger. We are renting out a nearby city hall for a few hundred bucks. His parents owns a restaurant and does caterings and they offered to do the catering for free. My mom and I are making the decorations. The colors are blue, silver, and pink. We are making centerpieces we are having colored jars filled with hersheys kisses. (There’s a story behind the kisses.) We’ll add flowers around the jars and my mom is crocheting like doilies to place the jars and flowers on.
Story of Hershey Kisses for those who are curious,
We met Junior year of highschool and have been dating for almost 2 years now. Junior year we had the same math class and this was maybe middle of the year. At this point we both liked each other but were to wuss to say something to the other. One day in math class he threw a hersheys kiss at me and so I started the joke that I was going to tell my dad that he gave me a kiss. So that joke started and it’s probably one of my first memories of me realizing that I really liked him instead of just having a crush on him. Well then for my birthday that year he bought me a necklace that had a Hershey’s kiss charm on it. The only reason I stopped wearing it was because a jewel had come off of it and I didn’t want it to keep breaking down.
