We look fully capable of doing whatever everyone else does (on the outside)… but on the inside… we’re struggling hardcore. (Or at least most of us)

Yeah, I feel ya. My MIL is always telling Hubby that if I worked, I’d feel better. He then explains to her (again) that I can’t work. I’m not able. And then the cycle repeats.

My husband’s family doesn’t know about my mental illness,
So they all just think I’m lazy.
They also don’t know about our kid,
Now they also think I’ve robbed him of the joys of parenthood.

Ah, jeez, that’s rough.
Yeah, Hubby’s side doesn’t know about my SzA. They know I have a mental illness. They think it’s bipolar disorder. But we don’t talk to them about my symptoms and they don’t know my diagnosis. They just make assumptions based on my behavior, I guess.
