It is a tradition to go to the graveyards on All Saints’ Day and lit candles, this is how all those who have died are remembered, but in my past life so many people have died that I can not take candles to all graves of all these people.
We do this on Memorial Day, honor those who have died. Not with candles but flowers on the graves, American flags, may 29th.
I didn’t think of it that way. We celebrate Halloween, dress up in ghoulish costumes. No graveyard candles. October 31st.
It is a very religious day, 10 years ago grocery stores were not open on this day, but they have changed some laws to allow the stores to be open as these were today. I like to remember my old friends who have died due to many causes and why it had happened to them. Some of them were still quite young.

Many years ago I was in Bolivia and saw the Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos) celebration there which is celebrated on November 2 on All Souls Day.
In Mexico, All Saints’ Day (Día de Todos los Santos) is on November 1 and All Souls’ Day (Los Fieles Difuntos) is on November 2. Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico are October 31 - November 2.
