Is this unusual?

A common delusion of mine was fear of an apocalypse/doomsday type scenario, and this haunted me for a long time. I felt like the rest of the world was just as worried as I was, which seems like nonsense. Certain movies especially would trigger this delusion before I started getting better. Those types of things never bothered me before I got sick. So my question is, do these types of things bother other people often? Or is it something that rarely crosses people’s minds, and certainly not something that most people worry about? How about normies? Do most normies view those types of things as silly as I used to before I got sick?

Like when I was having these delusions I would panic and feel like everyone else in the world was panicking about it too somehow. Idk

People are being waaaay too melodramatic about the election, and saying overdramatic stuff which sort of triggered this delusion. Which is why I’m asking you guys lol

@Minnii if you’re still lurking while on your forum break, you’re contributions especially tend to help.

We all miss minnii, but she’s probably not on the forums. She’s earned her break.

I think everyone has an obsession with the end of the world, especially from certain religious points of view, but I think that’s where it ends. People might have a fear of it but they rarely think it’s actually happening. Sorry for your delusion.

I’m trying to think of what minnii would say. Something like “I had that once but I beat it with can do attitude and girl power!” How’s that?

not to add to things, but I hear Trump has contracted the folks at ILM to orchestrate Jesus’ return at his victory rally, should there be one.

Very Minni-esque indeed. :b

Is Trump’s ILM version going to perform with hologram Tupac? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You were joking, right? >___>

@SunLion That sounds reasonable, but would you say it applies to normies too? Or is it more of a “rarely crosses anyone’s mind without seeing a clickbait article” type thing for them? If you had to guess.

lol. yes. of course.

I think it affects normies too. Just usually the religious ones. In my opinion.

You need to find the answer right from the same book that foretold the end of world.

Concerning that day and hour nobody knows,+ neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.+ 37 For just as the days of Noah were,+ so the presence* of the Son of man will be.+ 38 For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,+ 39 and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away,+ so the presence of the Son of man will be.-------Matthew 24:36-39

It means majority of the people will “take no note”. And “nobody knows” when will the day come.
But please be assured that the Earth will still be here, forever.

The righteous will possess the earth,+
> And they will live forever on it.±----Psalm 37:29

I’ve never heard that second verse from Psalms until just now. Wish I had seen that months ago lol

My delusions are, indeed, Biblical, but so are those passages. Plain as day. Thank you (:

I am sorry that you are going through the bad delusion.

It’s okay, I’ve been past it for a while. Just trying to…solidify my sanity? I suppose.

I just read the entire 37th Psalm, and it’s one of my favorites now. I’m glad you shared it.

Panic attacks happened to me a lot before my first break. I used to have such overwhelming anxiety that I couldn’t talk to people and I would obsess about things that were out of my control.

Mr Turtle grew up fearing the end of the world. It was nothing his parents did, he was just a really anxious child.
