Is this a mood swing?

I can go from “OMG I am so excited I got the job” to "oh no I don’t think I can do this job what if I end up going crazy at work " and everything negative you can think of because now I don’t want this job and don’t think I can do it… the thought process changes within hours…

They are rapid shifts in mood.

My partner says it is also mood (usually moods don’t change this quick), but I kinda agree it could be anxiety.

My moods will shift very fast but I am an Ultradian Cycler.
Yeah it could be some anxiety too but it’s also very common to experience anxiety when one is depressed

I am not depressed at all, but definately excited yet agitated at the same time.

Being excited (up beat mood) and worried and agitated could indicate a mild mixed episode.

Or then again it could mean that you are excited and a bit anxious :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I was very excited, feelign on top of the world this morning … everyting crashed and now I don’t know if I even want to do this or can do this. But I will try to push those thoughts out and stay positive. If it’s not for me I won’t force it but can at least give it a go.

Yeah I tend to over analyze myself a bit too much also.
Feeling excited over something or getting worried about something doesn’t always indicate a mood swing like mania or depression.

I wouldn’t worry about this too much.

Congratulations again @ish
