Is this a good charity?

What are they going to research that the big pharma companies can’t?

I spoke to these guys by email.
They were jerks. Not very optimistic about a cure. Said that 20 years from now things will be different.
So I guess if you want to donate to them bare in mind that you’re making an installment on a 20 year timeframe. They are located in Australia.

That’s a good question, I looked at some of the research and it looks fine but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. I have seen some research funded by drug companies, but I expect they don’t publish a lot of their internal research so we don’t know about a lot of it. I’m also not sure how much they rely on outside researchers to find new targets for drug development. The mRNA research is intriguing me right now.

I just don’t want to waste my $$

I don’t know of any scientist who is predicting less than a 20 year time frame. So, while frustrating, that sounds pretty typical.

I’ve not got my heart set on these guys or anything. I’d just like to find something that would be helpful.

I’ll do my part by donating my body to science after I die.
