Is there anyone have done sinus surgery here?

it is called endoscopic sinus surgery , i have my posterior ethmoid sinus blocked and some in my anterior ethmoid sinus.

My mom has had polyps in her sinuses and had to have surgery several times.

I’m not going to lie,

It looked rough.

A lot of packing goes in there afterwards and it’s uncomfortable.

They remove it in their office a little while after the surgery.

Then clots start coming out your nose.

That’s just her experience.

So just talk to your doctor about expectations.

The mucus is probably due to Perennial Rhinitus. Around 10% of the population have it and it’s usually treated with an over-the-counter steroid nasal spray such as Beconase. I have it too. The surgery may help also put surgery is unlikely to cure it completely and daily use of something like Beconase long term will probably be necessary. I’ve ‘been there and done that’ wrt this.
