Is risperidone still in my system?

I am looking for amswers for my sedation. I switched to haldol depot from invega 75mg palmitate 4 months ago. Is risperidone still in my system? And can it still cause drowsiness?

Does anybody know how long does a depot medication stays in your system?

Haldol can still make you feel sedated a bit but maybe not as much as Risperdal

Can someone find meds sedation charts? Also I find it more sedating, dont know why, can it be risperidone still in my system?

No. Wikipedia can sometimes tell you the sedation level of each med.

According to Wikipedia, Haldol is less sedating bcz it doesn’t affect Histamine receptors.

“Haloperidol’s negligible affinity for histamine H1 receptors and muscarinic M1 acetylcholine receptors yields an antipsychotic with a lower incidence of sedation, weight gain, and orthostatic hypotension though having higher rates of treatment emergent extrapyramidal symptoms.”

Risperdal
Histamine H1 receptors : effects on these receptors account for its sedation and reduction in vigilance. This may also lead to drowsiness and weight gain”

That explains why I got worse in video games due to Risperdal, less vigilance.

I asked my doctor about Haldol, I told her that it is highly effective for me.
She doesn’t want to prescribe it to me because of the high Tardive Dyskinesia risk.
