Is it possible I have autism? Does it affect moods as well? I was in the middle of being tested for it but the psychotherapist has left.

My Daughters Autistic - and i blame my schizophrenic genes. Got no sources to back it up - but i feel guilty i inflicted it on her

It took 45 years from first seeing a pdoc for mental health problem to get an Asperger’s dx. It only happened because I moved near my stepdaughter , and saw a less blinkered and more intelligent pdoc . It’s not unusual for those later found to be on the spectrum to have been treated in a negative manner by mental health services .

I’d make sure they check. It can be useful as an adult to identify this if present so you can try and get better at things.
I was diagnosed when I was 32, and it wasn’t pick up until I started psychology sessions and the therapist booked me for an assessment
