Is it ok to ask your psychiatrist for habit forming anti anxiety medication?

All this political stuff going on in the world. I feel like asking my psychiatrist for some immediate help with anxiety.

What medications do you take for anxiety?

I take Cipralex and Ativan for my anxiety.

I was taking Klonopin for anxiety, but didn’t need it after I switched to Abilify.

I had a pdoc once say to me .5 mg of Klonopin should last 12 hours. My point is that you don’t need such a big amount of benzo med that you can’t get off it easily if you want. IMO.
