Is it normal to get goosebumps When listening to music?

@san_pedro please stop spamming the forum with cut and paste exerpts from other websites. The spam is getting annoying and cutting and pasting from other sources without giving credit is not OK.

I’m sure the goosebumps derive from the visceral experience you have while listening to your favorite songs

Interesting topic. I believe that certain frequencies can trigger a euphoric response. Low frequencies and tone can evoke sadness and can be enjoyed sometimes as a healing ritual, some people can go really deep with this into the soul and experience awakenings, ego deaths and other major spiritual experiences. We can indulge in music much like it were a drug and it can take control of us.
Did you ever feel like you had something special? Like a gift that you wanted to share with the world, something that was actually Devine by your own understanding. Straight from heaven. But along with it was a constant dread about not being able to handle it?
The exposure of your own ego on a grand scale at worst, at best it might just transend you or maybe one scenario follows the other?

There is magic in music and it can be quite dangerous to play with. Think of collective consciousness, whats on the radio? Whats everyone bopping to And why? Influence and trends play a big role in society I think. And young people are most impressionable, so there has to be a safe brainwashing, rather than to have us transcend or even descend into chaos through music.

i guess if it resonates with you…probably rare

Yes it is very normal if you understand or fit ( I say ) Into the music your listening to with meaning.

I think I’ve only gotten goosebumps a couple of times.

But music is super important to me and many songs I listen to have deep personal meaning to me. Many songs I feel convey my feelings better than regular words. I think I would love to live in a musical honestly
