I mean like it seems hardly anyone takes it
Is it even available worldwide yet? Last I knew, it was only in the US.
I’m not sure we have Vraylar in the US.
It has apparently been out since 2015, and wasn’t approved for bipolar until last year. It is called reagila in Europe, but I haven’t heard it mentioned by that name either.
I had never heard of Vraylar until I joined this forum in 2016.
I heard about vraylar from the tv commercials that used to be on a lot.
My pdoc didn’t want me to try it because “it was too risky.”
My doctor switched me over to Vraylar from Risperdal in 2016.
I became psychotic and was involuntarily hospitalized twice.
Let’s just say that Vraylar wasn’t for me.
I found it to be more activating than Abilify.
Wow. Ive been on vraylar 3 years now. It works for me. Costs my dads insurance like 3k a month for 9mg and a 15 copay…
Everyone was hyped about iti-007 and min-101. What the hell happened?
Iti-007 is out now, under the name caplatya (sp?)
Vraylar had some very sh*tty results in the first trial they did. So bad that the Food & Drug Administration told the pharma company to take a hike. They did another couple of studies of which there was marginal improvement, and FDA approved it. FDA has been big on approving new antipsychotics even if they’re not very helpful because of a lack of choices. I’ve spoken to three pdocs about it. None of them use it except when it’s almost a last-option.
It kinda makes sense considering the above that Vraylar is scarcely mentioned.
