What kind of options are we talking about?

I’m wondering the same thing as @anon4362788

It’s called The Internet. I discovered that, at age 14, Squirrelette knew about a few things I didn’t. Kids these days are probably the most info-bombarded generation in the history of our species.

I agree with that. Internet has changed how humans access information, given us an unlimited pool of minds and data, all freely open to a child’s eyes if they just ask.

They have to process more, on a larger scale, and at a higher maturity level, due to access.

In form a digital Plato’s cave allegory.

In that case why can’t we talk about religion, politics and aliens.

I can hear the kids thinking, should i become transgender, homosexual or god knows. It takes away to live/discover their own personal sexuality.

@anon53623539 you’re like 50,

Please tell me you’re not talking to a 14 year old online.

You can, just not here. This is a recovery community with many vulnerable individuals who can’t process information properly because of deficits in their health. That’s why the limitations. Plenty of other places on the Net to talk about what tickles your pickle, so, no biggie.

What are you talking about?

I have to leave now, but providing LGBT+ information to people who seek it is not “bombarding” anyone, and your analogy is simply a red-herring argument.

You can cloak your homophobia any way you want, but I think you don’t like the LGBT+ thread, and I think you’re referring to @antidepressant044 .

You should really ask yourself why that thread bothers you so much, @anon53623539

I have to leave.

When it comes to taboo topics, the reason is always we got minors to 14 years old reading our website.

Dont blame the content of the internet, blame the easy access to it.

I believe minors should be offline. Only a personal computer.

Again, that’s ultimately up to the parents.

I discovered pornography at the age of 9.

I partially blame bad parenting (plus, my family was new to the country)

Its illegal to make pornography available to minors, but not political, religious or out of space issues.

Sex has become so easy these days for example a porn addict has it on his smart phone, and it’s like his drug of choice for free and in his pocket at all times.
It’s freaking outrageous what people do to get off these days

Porn gives young people unrealistic expectations of how quickly a plumber will arrive at one’s house.
