I just repress and repress and most of the time it goes away, but resentment is a whole nother thing, though the worst resentments I had were towards my family. I should ask my therapist this question. Time can kill anger and resentment, and art therapy and exercise and writing your thoughts/emotions. How do you release? I haven’t gotten laid in ten years, lol.
I exercise (recumbent stationary bike). I can’t emphasize enough how beneficial riding my bike is for my mental and physical health.
This is a great topic. No I don’t think its nessesary to release anger. I tried this for while, just going all out and I got very sick from stress basically it just agrivated everything and made it worse, I felt like I was dying. I find distraction, positive self talk and focus only on your wanted goals and outcomes. Whatever you focus your attention in will become greater, so I would say try ficus on only what you want and ignore / reject the rest completely. Giving in to your emotions be it anger or whatever can be counter productive. Sometimes taking the hard way round is the best option to obtaining goal outcomes in life, regardless of how your feeling. If your surrounded by people who are hurting you emotionally or your in a situation that makes you continuously angry I would do all in my power to change that situation be it move away or complain or get mediation or go no contact with that person/situation.
I don’t think repression is a bad thing, maybe or even a thing at all.
