I read back and see you said you’re not.
If you’re diagnosed sz you really should be on meds.

I feel fine , I hated the medication It didn’t make me feel like myself
@luvzpain that is what I felt, I felt it made me worse.
I feel better now though . I hated the stigma that came with people mostly friends seeing the meds lieing around
Yeah. Btw my username reads loveispain, not loves pain. Just letting y’all know
@luvzpain with the exception of 3 weeks in December, I had not been on medication for a year. I found that the side effects encouraged a mental absence and in some cases more psychotic. Soon after I stopped taking the medication many people said to me “ its nice to have you back”
I am glad you clarified… I thought it was the psychosis talking
My ‘friends’ noticed it too, they kept saying I haven’t been myself and when I stopped taking it I felt better but they still insisted I took it
I knew someone people will make assumptions
@luvzpain I have a meeting tomorrow with my psychiatrist and will discuss a clozapine treatment, which I will decline
The medications don’t help. I just avoid anything that will stress me out enough to trigger another episode
I’ll be taking meds forever until I’m in the ground, I guess. I went off meds once before, it led to a psychotic breakdown that ended in a ■■■■-ty hospital stay. Aside from wanting to stay out of the hospital, I don’t want to know how much worse my mental state can get without the help of meds.
Are you able to work?
Negative and some breakthrough symptoms make it hard to maintain employment, but I’ve started looking again recently. Hoping this time it sticks. If not, I’ll keep pushing on to get employed again.
I am the same, I have adapted myself to my circumstances. I do not think I can work like before but I am trying everything I can in order to do so. I refuse to let this become the best version of me
I feel you bro. Not able to work is itself depressive
I feel the same way you do, @Coldcomfort.
Most are sz/sza, some bipolars and borderlines, many newcomers worried because they experienced psychosis and i’m schizotypal.
Is everyone here schizo?
No just the cops
My diagnosis for now is schizophreniform disorder while my doctors wait to see if I have schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, or psychotic depression.
All I know is I went through psychosis and my episode was heavily guilt-themed lol.
