Is coconut milk fron a tin safe to use when it is 11 months out of date

is it safe to use when the tin says best before nov 2019

It’s probably fine. Expiration dates on tins mostly exist for legal reasons. If the can isn’t dented, and it isn’t rusted or damaged in some way, it’s not likely to have been exposed to bacteria

I wouldn’t…

Good luck to you though!

Throw it out…It’ll make you sick if you ingest it.

My mother-in-law is cheap and keeps old food which is why my daughters never want to go over there for dinner.

My father is the same way, he keeps old food around.

I wouldn’t consume it @karl but that’s me.

I’ll use things up to two years past the expiry with the exception of condensed milk – that stuff goes by the expiry date in most cases.

yes of course you can use it. Tinned food is sealed.

They tested old ww2 tinned goods and found them safe to eat.

is coconut milk condensed milk?

No, it’s very different. I’ve used older tinned coconut milk past the expiry without issue.
