considering giving therapy a 2nd try, but didn’t know if it was in person now, or over the phone, or via online cause of covid, the only option im interested in is in-person.
My therapy was Zoom. What is it about being in person that you like better?
well i would rather not learn modern technologies, i dont even have a cell phone, and what i remember of the internet is from 10 or 20 years ago haha.
It probably depends on where you live and different policies of therapists. Some states are much stricter than others when it comes to Covid restrictions.
I have never been in therapy, but yeah, I much prefer face to face doctor visits to virtual or phone calls too.
Would you believe my zoom calls with therapist were my first ever zoom/skype? She just puts a link in my email and I click it when it’s appointment time and it loads it right up. It was pretty idiotproof. I just used my gaming headset for microphone purposes.
I do think you could find in person if you looked though, assuming you guys wear masks and are not seated too close.
Yeah it’s not bad… It’s helped me some
I do both in-person and over the phone (talking) when I can’t make it in to my psychiatric clinic.
Aren’t you using technology and a computer now to post here?
I do in person therapy appointments
Do online sessions count?
Appointments were in-person before COVID hit.
I’ve been seeing the same therapist since early 2019.
I did in person for 2 months and then I started the on the phone therapy. Um I prefer in person tbh.
that’s different i’ve been posting on message boards since i was 20, i would have to learn something new, like zoom to do online haha.
I do biweekly in person meetings with my therapist. Been seeing her for three years. It’s going well.
I do online visits with my pdoc though and that’s fine bc it saves me a 90 mile round trip.
Its easy like agent said, you just click on the link, thats all.
