Irritability and mood swings in SZA?

I feel extremely irritability and angry for no reason. My community nurse was especially good and professional that he let me get things off my chest and he listened.

My community nurse has been in touch with my pdoc. He’s offering 2 weeks PRN medication. Haldol 5mg or Diazepam 2mg.

Which one would be best?

First thoughts are the Diazepam? My pdoc has only proscribed me Haldol when I have been psychotic and I don’t think I’m psychotic now. Does Haldol work for affective symptoms>

If it were me, and it were only for 2 weeks, I’d take Diazepam.

Does haldol make you sleepy? It’s probably being used more as a sedative in this instance.

I would take the benzo.

I’m hoping that me taking the PRN will stop these feelings I’m having. I’m drinking more alcohol and I’m hoping the PRN will makes me feel better and not rely on the beer.

You shouldn’t be drinking if you’re taking the diazepam.

Yeah, diazepam and alcohol are dangerous together. Besides, at least for me (and I’m sza also) 5 mg of Haldol will bring me out of an angry and agitated state very reliably. Takes about an hour, but it works without fail. Try the Haldol and if it doesn’t work out, ask for something different. There’s a reason they’ve been shooting people up with Haldol in the psych units for forever.

I have irritability and like crazy emotions and mood swings too. I take 5 mg haldol and I’m fine. Valium (diazepam) is very relaxing too that might work as well.

Diazepam and alcohol will make you black out. I had a prescription for klonopin and would drink a lot and black out sometimes

It’s dangerous 1515151
