Interview for part time job

I am supposed to go to a job interview at 1130am today. It’s for a part time van driving job. I guess I’d transport people in wheelchairs. I am already nervous and feel like a panic attack is coming on. Maybe it’s not time for me to work yet? Or do I go anyway and see what happens? I just feel like this is going to be a disaster

I did that as volunteering in a hospital during summer.

Did you drive them?

With the wheelchair yes, from their car to the waiting room.

Sometimes the taxi guy drops them off at the entry of the hospital and I drive them from there.

Okay. Like a patient transporter. I think this is a little different. I’d be picking them up in a van with a wheelchair lift. And driving them somewhere. I’m just wondering if I should even go. I already am feeling extreme anxiety plus driving for long times have me paranoia before

I think everyone gets nervous about job interviews.

I try the “act as if” trick, where you act as if you are confident. Sometimes I even imagine someone I know who is pretty confident and channel them a little bit.

Or try to remember something you did in the past that you were nervous about and everything turned out ok. You can do it!

Even if you’re a nervous wreck in the interview it probably wouldn’t be the first time they’ve interviewed someone who was a nervous wreck. Sometimes I get to interview people at my work and sooo many people are super nervous. It’s pretty common.

Good luck!

I decided to show up. Anxiously waiting for the guy to get off the phone. I’m less nervous now that I’m here.

Good luck!! You can do it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Act confident…like you already got the job!

Good luck :four_leaf_clover: 1515

That’s exactly how I felt when I was going in for my housekeeping interview and I ended up getting the job.

You’ll be fine, just take a nice big breath and do your best.

Aatleast you have the cajones to interview for a job.

Well. The guy ended up being on the phone the entire time I waited. So I waited 30 minutes then left. Pretty rude if you ask me. Not what you want from an employer
