I know it can cause anxiety and depression but I seriously think its somehow fuelling my bad thoughts.anyone done this and been successful.
Hmm. . .
I’ve Had Internet Detox For A Small Amount Of Time.
A Couple Weeks And It’s Like A Shot Of Adrenaline When You Return.
Not Like ‘Uma Thurman’, In ‘Pulp Fiction’.
Although She Should’ve Known Better.
But!, More So, A Great Way To Exercise The Opportunity To Discover Your Focus.
Your Purpose In The Realm Of Existence.
Unless Your Existence Is Strapped In The Abandon Folklore Abyss Of The Internet. . .
I wouldn’t say it cured my schizophrenia, but staying away from certain parts of the internet (conspiracy sites, etc) helped me to not fall into my delusions.
Yeah im the same with films. Im obessed with the film City of Angels, with nicolas cage and Meg Ryan lol. Thats triggering - which is a shame cos i love the soundtrack ha.
It matches my delusion too much, so i refuse to watch it anymore.
(Its why im called Seth now )
I rely on discord chat to give me socialization. It’s been a big help with my small talk skills. Too much sitting isn’t good, though. I try and get in some exercise each day.
No interest in this. I would lose my ability to safely attend AA meetings without covid exposure, my ability to attend therapy, and my connection to most of my best friends and supports.
I don’t see how just watching things, talking to people, and looking. At a screen could cause those problems if you’re still active. But wtf do I know. Unless you’re looking up sad/delusional things @anon15119022
I can’t watch the ring anymore. It’s the only thing that has triggered me other than stress/anger. @Naarai insaw that little ■■■■■ Samara crawl out my bed and try to kill me while I was in psychosis
i don’t know, on one hand i think internet detox would be good for my mental health. but on the other hand, it’s my only social outlet. i would need to have a more active lifestyle to quit the internet. i try to take breaks all the time but they only last a couple days before im online again.
I don’t feel like screen time has affected my mental health, I guess it depends on what you spend time doing and reading. I skew on the side of positive content.
I think the internet is bad for kids/teenagers. Like it’s deffinatly bad for mental health in adolescence. Kills self esteem and causes all sorts of ■■■■ imo @Lifer
I spend the vast majority of my internet time either on this site, or listening to music. I do take days off though, but only when I’m not feeling it. If I had a more active lifestyle, I would be on here a lot less
So … it’s like attending junior high school?
Lmao I guess, I didn’t really go to school @shutterbug o taught myself everything I know tbh
