Eh…I dunno about that article. It’s a nice, comforting thought but I’m not sure that I buy into it.

A little confusing too though and I read it fast because it was so long, so I may not have got all the points they were trying to make.

Interesting read either way. Thanks for posting it.

How they compare your life to a series on TV just doesn’t seem right to me. How do they know that you will end up “watching another series” after you die?

It seems unknowable since no one alive has experienced it.

You sure you want to live forever? Lol life’s long enough as it is here :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Bowens - Glad you found it was interesting! And to be honest, im scared of death so im a little biased towards it. I want to believe in an after life so this is comforting to me. I respect your opinion on it though.

You may change your mind once you get into your 90’s . Maybe not though.

I personally hope it’s one and done for me lol. If I live to 80 that’s plenty.

Ya it’s called quantum immortality (not the only thing that could make one ‘immortal’ but ya…). I suffer from it lol. I think I was either born with it or given it as a gift from the ‘gods’. I talk or ramble about it here and for years but everyone ignores me or forgets…I’m not some prophet or any thing close to that, rofl…

I don’t know. Maybe I’m the cat out of the box. But ya, quantum superposition and stuff…close to a mathematical definition of true immortality!

I have his book. Totally disagree, but it’s still a recommened read. It’s just HIS opinion. Smart guy.

I think you or (I) still experience the pain of death, but just experience and remember the past lives or constant reincarnations-feels like time travel, really.

Being never stops being.
Only non being is non being.

which is like what Parmenides had written
