Innocence of wonder

As children we’re taught right from wrong.
As adults we learn on our own.
The childlike ignorance and wonder of the world never truly goes away.

You may be jaded
You may be berated
You may be hollow
You may be elated

What we gather from experience far outweighs our taught expectations.
As an adult keeping an open mind is one of many fixations.

Your lifestyle may not be so bad
Your orientation and beliefs either.

Your choices are your choices
Who am I to judge.
Hell…
Why can’t we be friends?

A nice poem with good vocabulary.
When I sort out my fitness stuff I may try to get into reading as an addition, I am not a big reader at the moment.
