Consistency is all well and good, but circumstances change, and a different course of action is appropriate for these new circumstances. People of discernment understand this.

I am not incontinent…
I have to be grateful for that! 
There are some people who are trying to control me in ways that I find unacceptable. I’ll probably end up on the street because of it. That’s okay, people will see me, and they’ll say, “Look at what those people did to him. Maybe they need to be reined in, or they might do the same thing to my son. We’re going to butt heads, and I’m stronger than they think.”
