In the “cereal” dietary pattern, the high tertile was associated with a significantly increased risk of schizophrenia

Rice, bread, and confectioneries, was labeled the “cereal” dietary pattern.

green leafy vegetables, lettuce, cabbage, mushrooms, and fruit, was labeled the “vegetable” dietary pattern.

Therefore, we hypothesized that a dietary pattern consuming a large quantity of vegetables would be associated with a lower risk of schizophrenia morbidities.

I eat a fair amount of both of these dietary trends. I do like broccoli, asparagus, and spinach. If I was paid a good amount of money to eat 75% of my diet in vegetables I probably couldn’t do it.

I have found a few vegetables to be good, like sweetcorn, peppers, spring onions, carrots, parsnips, tomatoes and leeks.

I hate the rest with a passion!

I had spinach in a curry once. That wasn’t bad.
