Of course they told a lot of newcomers that. A lot of addicts and alcoholics come into those rooms beat down, broken and defeated by drugs and life. They need help to build themselves up and live like humans again.
Sound familiar? Aren’t I basically talking about us on here with schizophrenia and what we do for each other?
To me, this forum helps me pick up the broken pieces of my life and glues me back together.
This forum has given me some really good advice. And helped put perspective on whats going on with me. Thats really all I want out of this forum is someones own experiences and perspective to help me better understand my situations
I like giving advice but I like getting advice also.
I go to AA too. I don’t really love myself either, and I have been going to AA a year and a half. Not everyone is going to love you, but I find knowing God loves me to be enough.
