It was a convention not to ask or tell people who you voted for at one time, but now it’s more acceptable.

My last psychiatrist once asked me which political party did I lean towards
I thought it was inappropriate as well
I didn’t answer her

It is inappropriate because it implies her help is conditional
that reminds me, I asked my therapist in 2020 who she supports and she declined an answer

I have been giving my coworker a ride home for 6 months now. I was flabbergasted the other day when I asked him if he voted and he said no.

My therapist and I talk about politics sometimes. It’s funny cause we are on other side of the spectrum. We’re not suppose to but we have fun with it. I’ve been with him since 2011 so we know each other well. He retires next spring. I already bought him a retirement watch. It was $25 no worries, but fancier than the one he has now.
