Impressions in life

What impresses you the most in life? about people, places, cultures, relationships.

In general or individually?

It impresses me in general that everyone is their own person living their own life no matter what longitude and latitude they are on…

In individuals I’m impressed if they r open minded

I’m impressed with feats of engineering and ingenious design…

As far as people go… I become impressed in a lot of different ways for a lot of different reasons…

some people just impress me with how happy they are.

Flight still boggles my mind…sitting in a chair flying through the sky. You’re half way around the Planet in the matter of hours.

And the Wright brothers were actually two bicycle mechanics by trade. Incredible!

yeah flying was pretty cool… I was pleased to feel all the strange forces of acceleration… I had always thought they had figured out a way to make it smooth… was quite fun… I got a window seat right behind the wing… got to see the dynamics of the flaps.

I was on another site a few years ago when those Miners were all trapped then they were saved one by one. They said they were all going to write a book about it.

I suggested they call the book “The Mile Below Club” lol!

(It’s a play on the Mile High Club…when you have sex on a plane, in case nobody gets my joke)

We are all human. We all eat, sleep, and do other obvious things. But sometimes I just marvel at one man or even one women can in life. Me and George Bush are both human. I have trouble remembering to brush my teeth before I go to bed. George Bush ran a whole country. Or take Fidel Castro. He’s just one individual. But he stayed in absolute power over a country for more than 25 years. It’s incomprehensible to me that one single man can juggle so many things.

When I get around to quieting my mind - I like to notice impressions that things in life make in/on me…who I am.

How even small acts of every day kindness can change a persons mood from bad to good, and it spreads back to you in the end.
Going a bit out of your way to assist a stranger (give a ride to elderly folks, put heavy items in their car or basket for them, hold doors open to the next person) has proven more effective for me in lifting my mood than any anti-depressant ever has done.

I have an imense appreciation for the inventors and true artists of the world, the ones that push things forward!

If I had to some it up in a nutshell: Compassion, forgiveness, friendliness.

Compassion when people practice it. Forgiveness when people forgive me for the stupid things I’ve done and said. And friendliness applies to how on almost every country on this planet you can smile and most likely someone will smile back. Fascinating.
